Hello. : Hello. There seems to be some variability to the statistics.  With Clomid (clomiphene) there is reported to be a 5 to 12 percent chance of twins.  With in vitro fertilization (ivf), the odds could increase to 20 to 40 percent, depending on the number of embryos used. However, before fooling around with mother nature, think about what will you will do if your become pregnant with triplets or quads. Take care.

Wait for next period: Usually it's a good idea to wait until you've had a normal period.  Part of the reason is that your next period after a miscarriage is often late, and waiting reduces the frustration of wondering if you're pregnant again.  It also gives your body a chance to get completely back to normal before getting pregnant again.

PCOS: metformin can be helpful in improving fertility in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) by decreasing insulin resistance.  This will tend to make periods more regular and make it easier to produce an egg, thereby improving fertility.

I : I am assuming you had a reversal procedure. Please reply if otherwise. To help pin point ovulation thus having a better chance of conceiving buy an ovulation prediction kit and follow the detailed instructions.  As far as lowering the risk of miscarriage, this is nearly impossible. Most pregnancies that end in miscarriage are a result of the fetus having a chromosomal defect that is incompatible with life. There are other causes of miscarriage (clotting disoders etc.) but these are not usually considered until a woman has 3 miscarriages.
Please see your doctor; after obtaining a detailed history from you and your partner he/she will be able to give more applicable advice.

Ovulation: Ovulation normally occurs 14 days prior to the next period. Recommend starting to have intercourse a few days prior to ovulation &amp; at ovulation (possibly a couple of days after). Can use an ovulation calendar or ovulation predictor kit to help determine best timing. Take care.

Check with your OB MD to confirm or not this information for your individual medical situation. You need time to replenish nutrients &amp; red blood cells lost at the miscarriage for best future conception results.
