Need more informatio: This could be normal. Is the baby eating normally and looks good otherwise?  Are you able to post a picture of the feet.   If it is just the feet that are swollen, you don't see the swelling anywhere else, the baby is feeding normally, and the baby is peeing normally, I would not be overly concerned unless symptoms change.   It also could be baby fat that the baby is starting and he/she is growing

Position: It is the position of sitting and doing this puts pressure on the back of the leg and compresses the blood vessel and nerve.  Also because you are not moving there is no muscle contraction to help push the blood around.

Yes: Having the feet and legs down will create swelling with out muscle activity to help pump out the fluid.

i have hbp and im currently taking diovan (valsartan). my ankles and feet are very swollen and i don't understand why because i take my meds everyday. any advice?

Causes of swelling : Your feet and ankles could be swollen not because your blood pressure is high but for another reason.  None of the medications you are taking contain a water pill.  Sometimes you could have swelling from medication, increased salt in your diet or because of structural heart problems.  I would go back to your doctor and talk about the swelling so that they can properly diagnose it.  Also stop salt.

i have osteoarthritis , but for a while now i have noticed  my feet  are very swollen and the skin seems very tight.  others have noticed to. why?

Something else : Sounds like u have edema in u'r feet. Not uncommon at all, especially if u are on u'r feet a lot. The main reason is gravity pulls things down, and as we get older out veins and Lymph vessels transmit the fluid/blood slower. I suggest trying compression socks, and seeing u'r doctor so he/she can do a physical exam.

Decrease salt intake, and watch for symptoms of headache or dizziness.

Anemia and: swelling of your feet and ankles probably not related. Swelling could be due to right heart failure or venous insufficiency or  orthostatic edema or blood clot in the legs   or liver and kidney disease.  See your doctor.

More is needed: How long you had this for? Any pain? it might be sign of infection or skin infectionm.it mightbe a sign of poor circulation. So you need to go see your primary care doctor concerning this

Edema: Sounds like you have some type of edema. Fluid retention can be for multiple reasons. Excess salt intake, thyroid problem or a kidney problem. This sounds like an issue you should address with a provider.

hello im 8 months pregnant and my feet are very swollen and are very itchy and have little bumps looks like a rash  is it normal or serious ?

See doctor: Although feet swelling is not uncommon in this stage of pregnancy, the little bumps can be caused by many things. In fact, pregnancy has been linked to many strange looking. However they are likely not serious and topical cortisone cream may be worth trying.  Do tell your OB about your feet to make sure that there is nothing more serious.
