Circulation problem?: Purple or blue coloring to hands or feet usually means decreased or slowed circulation to the area. This can happen if the blood vessels get compressed or if the vessels tighten themselves and lessen the blood flow. Sometimes, blood flow will change due to nerve signals or chemical signals telling the vessels to constrict. A primary doctor and a rheumatologist can evaluate and look for the cause.

Circulation problems are the result of arterial (vascular) disease or poor flow from decreased heart function. Diabetes and Heart Failure are most common causes, and Risk for both increases with age and is influenced by diet. Suggest an in-person doctors visit for lab work and exam.

You need exam: Given your age, you really need to see a physician about that asap to rule out circulation issues.  Cold feet is also a sign of low thyroid function. NO,of course not: Sounds like raynaud's disese (at least for the hands) and caused by poor pickup of oxygen in the blood. If you are a sugarholic, stop it across the board. If that is not the case, then you have an unbalanced autonomic (automatic) nervous system for other reasons.

Raynauds or stasis.: There are multiple possibilities for purple discoloration of the feet but the most common  are-1. Venous stasis due to pooling of venous blood in the sitting or standing position because of decrease of the calf muscle pump, 2. Raynaud's syndrome which results in color changes of the feet and even hands due to spasm of the small vessels in the toes and hands and, 3. Vasodilation due to medications.
