hi quick question one side of my feet keep going to sleep and then the other foot go's a sleep it like back and fourth.

Feet asleep: If related to posture, it could be pinched nerve. Consult your pcp for exam.

with the bottoms of my feet 'going to sleep' sometimes recently, is this a problem in my foot? somewhere else on my body?  why would they do this?

when i lay down, everything is fine. then after about 15-20 minutes, the legs and feet and maybe my hips too start to vibrate and sometimes it prevents me from going to sleep. it has been going on for 5 years now, and when i get up sitting for 5 min?

: Could be epilepsy, restless legs, electrolyte problem. See a neurologist a doctor that specializes in nerves to get a complete check up and diagnosis.

whenever i am about to fall asleep, i get this strange sensations in my leg, from calves till foot, usually it also happens in both legs & due to which i can't sleep as i have to fold legs for relief. it goes on for half an hour then goes away on own?

: Would suspect you have "Restless Leg Syndrome", which can be controlled easily by a dopamine agonist or gabapentin.  See your physician, get diagnosed and treated as needed.

i have the following symptoms: unexplained bruising that have been present for a while and my foot going to sleep or cramping. should i be concerned?

Probably not: The bruising may be caused by several reasons, such as poor diet, lack of vitamins, activities or trauma to the feet.  The foot going to sleep or cramping is usually an overuse of the muscles that deplete them of oxygen causing the cramping.  Make sure that you are moving around a lot and if this is only in one leg, see your doctor to rule out a blood clot.  Good luck.

can sleeping with your leg hanging off the bed make your foot fall asleep or be numb? my 6 year old son has been waking up to a sleeping leg and numb foot sensation that resolves after a minute. he sleeps on his back and at times half off the bed?

Minor problem: Amazingly, 6 yo sons are very resilient.  A compression of a nerve will readily reverse, but in older folks, there could be residual neurapraxia on occasion, even when falling asleep with legs crossed.  So, do not worry about your child.  He should do quite well, and assuming absence of nerve disease in your family, there is truly almost no risk.

when i fall asleep my left foot hangs off the bed & i wake up with a swollen foot every day! both my foot & ankle  stay swollen because of how i sleep?

Caution: The veins that return blood from your feet/legs run up the back of your leg in the calf. If you obstruct venous return by allowing your leg to hang over the side of the bed all night, you will promote swelling, but worse, you can provoke a deep vein thrombosis, in fact, you may already have. You need to be seen to have a blood clot ruled out. Any use of alcohol or sedatives make this worse.

Many things: Feet afalling asleep can be caused by circulation , lower back proble3ms, diabetes and electrolyte imabalnce as well as other problems. Consult your podiatrist or physician for evaluation.
