Cold feet: You don't mention if your feet warm with socks or under a blanket.  If they do not , seek medical attention right away.   The dry skin can be related to circulation as can the discoloration.  See your podiatrist or your dermatologist .

Not stress induced: It may be something else besides a lymph node, like a cyst or other epidermal lesion. Assuming it is a lymph node, it is reacting to something. Lymph nodes make antibodies to fight foreign invaders, typically bacteria. Lymph nodes under the chin drain the floor of the mouth and teeth.  Most commonly, a dental problem of the lower teeth could cause this problem.  Look  under your tongue

More info needed: Does the swelling go down if you keep foot elevated? What was the nature of the injury? Your symptoms could be from injury to the vascular supply to or from the foot or from nerve injury or chronic inflammation. You need to have evaluation by orthopaedic doctor or podiatrist as chronic swelling may make damage worse.

my daughter has a bite on her foot. it's red and swollen with a brown dot in the middle. put neosporin on it and don't see any pus coming out.  seems to be filled with fluid and is pretty large. does she need to see a doctor?  what can we do?

Recommendation : The first of all need to be sure that this is only bite, not the small foreign body. If the last you need to take it off and then alcohol, bacitracin or neosporin   If redness is spreading you definitely need to see a doctor.

Athletes Foot: Not every foot rash is af, but it is the most common.  It can cause rash, blisters, burning, itching, and crusting. Start by using an otc antifungal cream such as clotrimazole, otc cortisone cream for the itch, breathable /wicking shoes and socks. Keep feet clean and dry, especially between toes. Powders are good to dust toes and in shoes. If no improvement after a week-see a doctor.

ankle swollen (recent acl surgery). dr says it's normal. but foot is also freezing cold. exercise is limited atm, will warm water worsen swelling?

Needs to see a doc: He needs to get over his fear. Explain in a nice way he may need an antibiotic and further evaluation and this is the job of a doctor. Ensure him you will be with him and he will be okay.
