How : How long fat transfer takes depends on how much fat is removed and how much needs to be grafted.

For the face the range is about 30 minutes to 2 hours. Grafting larger volumes to other parts of the body would take longer.

Fat transfer: My understanding that fat transfer for breast augmentation may be used when relatively small increases in breast size are desired. You could consult with a plastic surgeon about this. My understanding is that fat may come from the buttocks,
 abdomen, back, arms, or thighs.

Yes, but...: A well healed fat transfer should withstand exercise. The important thing to keep in mind is your weight. I usually advise all my patients to maintain their current weight for at least 3 months after the transfer. After the 3 months, weight fluctuations affect different people differently. But as long as you watch your weight, the augmentation should remain stable.

Fat is fragile and needs to be vascularized to live after transfer. It can be easily crushed before vascularization has occurred. It has approximately 60% likely to survive. Initial recovery is 7 - 14 days for healing, but 6 months for swelling to truly resolve.
