Ortho-K: I'm not aware of anything you can eat or do as exercise to decrease myopia. However, ortho keratology (ortho k) is a temporary reshaping of cornea that might help in mild cases. Check out http://www.Allaboutvision.Com/contacts/orthok.Htm & http://en.Wikipedia.Org/wiki/orthokeratology for some info. You'll need to see an optometrist who specializes in this. There's nothing wrong w/glasses or contac.

No: Myopia tends to increase at a slower rate year by year until the mid twenties.  There is no known way to stop this; correction by contacts and glasses can give good vision.  When the proper age she can be considered for lasik correction if she wants that.

No: Reaching is a typical 3-4 month milestone. If your infant was a premie, be patient.  Stimulate him, though, with objects that are brightly colored or make noise to perk his interest.
