Depends: If both eyes are equally weak & present identical views to the brain you will just go through life with weak eyes. Cancer is not caused that way. If one eye is weaker/different than the other, your brain could decide to turn that one off, (eliminating blurry picture) leaving you to have only one useful eye. You would lose your ability to judge distance. You can decide what risks you will accept.
