i don't drink much but occasionally have a beer, but every time i drink just one,  i get a headache, my face turns bright red and feels hot, and i just feel crappy, do you know why this is happening. ?

Reaction to beer:  You may be allergic to sulfites in the beer. Please stop- drinking beer - listen to your body.

Alcohol is a : Vasodilator or vasoactive product, which can make the skin vessels of your head and body to dilate and increase blood flow in those areas.  When blood flow increases, your skin appears red and hot, or blotchy. You may have develop a sensitivity to alcohol, or is the combination of alcohol with other vasodilators. Most likely you won't have problems if avoiding alcohol for a while.

why is that when i eat any type of fruit, i get really hot in the face to a point of discomfort and my face turns red but i get no other symptoms?

: If you get red and hot with  eating any type of fruit i recommend you follow up with an allergist as you may have an allergy to fruits . Avoid fruits that cause the redness/ heat until evaluated.

i have been having random facial flushing (redness on face), im on metoprolol, losarton, atorvastatin, amitriptyline & blisovi fe 1/20 birth control and dealing with pkdcan any of them cause facial flushing? or why i would have it occurring?

: Flushed face is not a known side effect of the noted medications &amp; not a symptom of PKD; however, med side effect can't be ruled out. The temporal relationship between that symptom and the starting time of each medication may be helpful in defining the causal relationship and you should track that down. If sx is of recent onset &amp; meds have been used for months or years, meds aren't the culprit.

Sinusitis: Severe SInusitis can cause facial discomfort with possible entrapped purulent secretions causing the hot sensations. Steam inhalations and irrigating the nasal passages with warm salt water promoting drainage are important in relieving some of your symptoms. Sometimes a more potent antibiotic is needed to clear up severe SInusitis. An otolaryngologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you.

Not uncommon: Alcohol has a vasodilatory effect. It is possible you are allergic to the sulfites as well.

Deer fly: That sounds like a deer fly bite -which can be painful. They can cause allergic reactions - and depending on your history of allergy you may need to be exceptionally  careful. If it's not getting better, then you need to get evaluated. Warning signs would be feeling lightheaded, breathing problems, the development of hives, nausea/vomiting, rapid heart rate etc. Try some ice and maybe Benadryl (diphenhydramine) now
