Ear infection : This is likely an ear infection. Most ear infections respond favorably to oral antibiotics. Because his face is swollen this could be more than an ear infection such as teeth or jaw infections which can cause swelling. I would highly recommend seeing a physician in person to have him evaluated. Oral antibiotics may be prescribed. In the meantime, take Motrin or Tylenol for pain.

Face red and swollen: sounds like you are definatly having some inflammation or an allergic reaction to something, have you used any new soaps, lotions, anything on your face? How about any new foods? Applying aloe Vera to your face may help cool it down and reduce the redness and burning

NORMAL: Reaction. Show it to your parents. If it gets bigger/worse lips swell, tongue swells, you erupt in hives, feel bad go to the emergency room.

Cold compresses: To make sure you don't have any fractures of your jaw or any part of your facial bones it will be wise to get an X ray done. Advil and Tylenol (acetaminophen) taken may relieve some of the pain , swelling gradually.

Face swelling: Yes, you need to be concerned of any facial swelling that can cause swelling of the eye.  This could be infection that requires antibiotics.  Allergies can also cause this, but not usually to the extent of causing significant facial redness and swelling of the eye.  See your doctor to see if there is an infection.  Also tell your doctor about any visual problem that may be present with this.

Irritant dermatitis: Hi, it sounds like you might have had an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients.  A mild moisturiser like aqueous cream, an oral antihistamine, and an anti-inflammatory should help.  You should also try to stay out of the sun until your face looks better.

Get to a dentist: Cold may help relieve some of the acute symptoms but you really need a dental evaluation and treatment plan ASAP to address the root cause of your symptoms.

No: Typically if this was a cellulitis and you did not do anything actively like take oral antibiotics or apply topical antibiotics it would not go away on its own.  The fact that it improved hrs later on its own suggests something else, maybe allergic reaction

Burning Skin: You had an irritant or an allergic contact dermatitis. You need prescription strength topical cortisone and oral prednisone. See your local dermatologist.
