Yes, It may.: Epilepsia partialis continua (epc) also should be ruled out. You have to see the neurologist asap and have an eeg done.

Could be: It could be stress related . It could be as part of benign tremor . It could be sign of some other illnesses . What determine the nature  and the cause of your twitch is to have a good history , physical examination with special emphasis to neurologic examinations . The course of your illness is most important ( whether progressive or static , associated other symptoms etc).

: Have you ever had Bell's palsy or injury of the facial nerve on that side? If not, you're more likely experiencing hemifacial spasm which often has an unknown cause &amp; occurs in older people. A neurologist is best to evaluate &amp; advise you. Any appropriate testing such as EMG study or brain MRI will be ordered after the clinical assessment.

Twitching: I have seen these symptoms be not concerning most of the time and at times concerning. You should see a doctor in person. I wonder if it twitching occurs when you tap on it- that would raise the concern for a low calcium level

Muscle Twitching: Muscle twitching is caused by minor muscle contractions in the area. Causes include lack of nutrients in the diet, medication side effects, lack of sleep, too much caffeine/exercise/stress, medical conditions that cause metabolic disorders, including low potassium, kidney disease, and uremia. Calcium /Magnesium supplement may help. If symptoms continue see a DR.

Let's analyze: The eye twitching could be a benign condition called "myokymia", but now you are describing trigeminal distribution numbness on same side which does raise questions of brainstem, base of brain process.  Would suggest seeing your doctor and considering MRI of brain, and possibly spinal fluid analysis. Best to get to the bottom of this asap.

Go to neurologist: get checked....the two things I would check out is the patency of your facial nerve. Impingemet or entrapment of cranial nerve 7 would cause eyelid t\witching.  Also rule out the presence of Lyme disease because this also could cause muscle twitching in stage 2 presentation.

Concern?: Probably not.  Remember most "dental work" is surgical.  A period of healing is required.  If symptoms worsen, or do not spontaneously disappear over the next few days, call your Dentist.

It could be: time to close your computer and proceed to the ER or UC clinic. Otherwise, I would suggest a consultation with both an ENT and a neurologist.
