my baby is now 1 year old and i still have armpit fat. how long does it take to reduce?. can exercise reduce the armpit fat?

Depends: Your armpit fat may be accessory breast tissue. Are you still breast feeding? If you are, the tissue under the arm will stay enlarged along with the normal breast tissue as long as you're breast feeding. Once you stop breast feeding,  the normal lactating breast tissue will decrease in size as well as the accessory tissue under the arm. Ask your ob/gyn to take a look.

i have a lot of fat on the sides of my breasts/under armpits. off & on i experience discomfort on either side then it goes away for a few weeks then returns. no masses felt and pressing on it doesnt make it worse. main exercise is walking?

Hard to say: If the sensation comes &amp; goes, it may be that the area is being rubbed somewhat when you swing your arms during walking. You might consider trying a different type of bra which has broader sides &amp; softer material.  
   If you do feel a mass at some point or there is significant redness, or pain that does not go away, definitely need Dr exam.

However, do not always do the same exercise or you will increase your risks for stress injuries. Mix things up with walking, running, biking, swimming, or circuit training. Spot reducing: Body fat is lost by increasing metabolism, and unfortunately you can not spot reduce. Ie you can not do abdominal exercise to arm fat. The fat is deposited and can be removed by weight loss. General rule, last place fat gained is the first to go and the the first place gained is the last to go. You can exercise arms to build more muscle tone in those muscles.

Aerobic: To lose belly fat- you need to lose weight by burning calories through cardiovascular aerobic exercise. The calories burned should come from the midgut section. To build up muscle in the arm and get rid of arm jiggle, you need to do strengthening exercises concentrating on the biceps and triceps muscles of the arm. By building muscles there, you decrease jiggle.

Regular: To lose weight, you must exercise regularly. Start a weight training program. Also a good way to lose weight is running and becoming more physically active. Also have a healthier diet. Avoid all sodas and only drink water. Avoid fatty snacks with sugars and instead have fruits and veggies as snacks.
