Depends: Use your judgement depending on your fitness level. 30 minutes will give you a good workout.

Accepted Answer

Both: Depending on your reason for exercise either will provide the beneficial effect of exercise.  Your exercise prescription for cardiovascular health, if that is the reason for exercise, is calculated by giving you the maximum heart rate for specified time.  So the type of exercise it takes to get the maximum heart rate is the only criteria.  So both machines can do it.

can i exercise on an elliptical machine while i'm early in my 3rd trimester?

Depends on u: If you have been doing that before and all throughout your preg and u are having no problems then u prob can, if u have not been doing it already then-  no, you must go slow because some people can start to get a little symnphysis pubis separation in the 3rd trimester and the eliptical could make that worse so if u notice any pain in middle where the pubic symphysis is then u must stop.

All: Both machines are designed to improve physical fitness but with less physical impact in knees and hips. You should use whatever you feel comfortable with.

The best exercises: and related equipment are the ones we are most likely t use.  My personal choice is a treadmill because you can adjust the speed, listen to ipod, etc.easily while exercising.  Peace and good health.

Yes, as tolerated: After initial rest, ice, compression and elevation, ankle rehabilitation involves moving the ankle. Initially the up and down motion akin to pressing and releasing the gas pedal in the front to back plane is suggested. Lateral movement will come later as pain and swelling subside. An elliptical trainer provides gentle front to back motion at the ankle and can be started as soon as tolerated by you.

Exercise: I let my post-laparoscopic patients do cardio anytime after surgery when the patient feels well. The only restriction for most is no heavy lifting for one week after surgery. If you think you are ready, enjoy!

Best option: get it repaired ( surgery  ) then do everything  is a low risk out patient procedure

: The best one is the one you will use. All exercise equipment has pros and cons, and if you have underlying health problems, do consult with your doctor to avoid making them worse. You want something you are motivated to use that is not likely to cause an injury. I have enjoyed all the machines you list. Currently am enjoying an interactive stationary bike with a subscription for classes and rides.
