: I don’t (and I’ll bet you don’t) really know what “essential oils” are. You’re probably inhaling moderately irritating chemicals that are irritating your bronchial tubes. Usually doesn’t cause permanent damage (but, of course, sometimes they do). Check with the manufacturer - I’m sure they’ll be happy to tell you - Ha)

Cough syrup: Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant, while Guaifenesin loosens mucous.  Either will help, and some syrups have both.    If you have a fever, or your phlegm is discolored, see your doctor.

That is unusual: The hallmark of acute bronchitis is coughing and so if no cough, i would not call it bronchitis. Maybe u were coughing before and the cough medicine is suppressing your cough? Some medicines can induce loss of appetite, including cough medicines.If no cough from start, i would question the diagnosis. As with your lack of appetite, i can't tell why due to limited info. Many possibilities: At this point, I would advise a further work up to determine the causes of the cough. A chest radiograph, assessment for sinusitis and reflux is indicated. If you smoke, this can cause a chronic cough.
There are many possible causes, and your physician will further advise.

Cold: Drink plenty fluids, chicken soup helps, a decongestant for the nose, a saline nasal spray, Mucinex (guaifenesin) or equivalent for the cough. If the cough persists for more than 5 days, you will need to see a doctor. A viral bronchitis goes away on its own, a bacterial pne needs an antibiotic.

See a doctor: You may have strained a muscle by coughing, and now when you cough it will tweak that muscle.  If you have an ovarian cyst it is possible that you are tugging on that area, but the only way to find out what this is would be to see a professional and get examined.

As long as...: If you are getting better symptoms should be resolved soon. Even with a common cold cough can last a few weeks after the initial infection goes away. The airways may remain irritated for a little while which is what causes the cough reflex. I am not concerned as long as you are doing better. If symptoms are not better or worse then it is time to see your doctor again.

Muscle strain: You may well have pulled a muscle coughing and re-injure it every time you cough hard.
