The longer you take it , the more likely you will get upper GI problems. Only 1 in 5 patients are symptomatic , so be careful, limit to short-term use.

Quote your pharmacist if possible (s/he did say something to you, right?). Then ask your doc about risks, benefits & alternatives. Is potential benefit worth potential risk? Are there other ppis eg esomeprazole? Or perhaps h2 blocker eg ranitidine.

Visit ER: For a mild head injury, no treatment may be needed. However, watch for symptoms of a head injury, which can which can show up later.  Tylenol (acetaminophen) is the best immediate therapy. Visit ER CT or an MRI scan might be done to rule out a brain bleed.

NSAID gastritis: NSAIDS (eg.naproxen, ibuprofen) can irritate the stomach, causing gastritis (inflammation) or ulcers.If on NSAIDs for a lengthy time or get stomach pain on them, physicians typically stop it, or recommend H2 blocker (eg ranitidine/Zantac etc) or proton pump inhibitor (eg esomeprazole/Nexium etc) for stomach protection for duration of treatment w NSAID.Vimovo (esomeprazole and naproxen) is naproxen/esomeprazole in same pill.
