Vimovo (esomeprazole and naproxen) is drug with: 2 components: an NSAID (naproxen) and a ppi (acid blocker esomeprazole/nexium); used to treat osteoarthritis & ankylosing spondylitis. Nsaids fight pain & inflammation; ppis help protect the stomach & decrease/prevent reflux.

Basically naproxen: Vimovo (esomeprazole and naproxen) is a combination of Naproxen and a second medication to protect your stomach from the irritating effects of the nsaid.
