Varies: It varies depending on the services needed. If you need people for round-the-clock care, it can get very pricey. If you just need someone a few hours a day to help the person bathe, dress, daily cares, a few household things, then it is usually quite affordable. Many local health departments have very inexpensive in-home care services for the elderly & medicare may even reimburse part or all.

No should..: Your children's' weights will be based on genetics and nutrition there is no "should". The growth curve is a tool with a wide range of normal. Someone has to be small and someone has to be big. If they are consistently growing on a curve and developing well...That is where they "should" be.

Not normal!: 11 days on a period is about 4 days too many already.  If you see no signs of your period ending (less bleeding, less frequent change of tampon or pad) or you're also having pain, you need to see a doctor.   Meanwhile, take a multi-vitamin with iron supplement to help prevent anemia from blood loss.  Best wishes.

Dose: Sometimes low levels are due to inadequate dose and/or inferior generic brands of the dilantin. If you are still having problems attaining the desired level, make sure to try brand name dilantin. Some patients metabolize the Dilantin differently and require high doses. In your age bracket it is important to avoid high levels however. Your neurologist should advise you.

Yes.: A 0.1cm variance on echocardiography between the ivs and pw is within normal limits for normal ivs and pw values.
 If any concerns, your cardiologist should be able to pull up your echo images for you to see how the reading was done.

Mental competence: Usually two physicians, one of them  preferably psychiatrist. If in case of dispute, courts will decide. Check with your local physicians and attorneys, the rules may differ from state to state.

Many types: Elder abuse can take many forms- physical, sexual, psychological, financial and simple neglect. If one thinks there is a problem, referral to adult protective services is appropriate  for intercention. It is often unidentified and therefore underreported.
