No should..: Your children's' weights will be based on genetics and nutrition there is no "should". The growth curve is a tool with a wide range of normal. Someone has to be small and someone has to be big. If they are consistently growing on a curve and developing well...That is where they "should" be.

Encourage him!: At your son's age, 13 kilos falls around the 25th percentile. So he is still a decent weight for his age. If he isnt eating much however, i would encourage him to try new and different foods. I would try to offer him solid foods before a drink. Children his age often fill up on liquids and thus arent hungry. You could also offer him a childrens multivitamin each day.

Parental stature: The expected height of any male is about 2.5 inches more than the average of his parents height. If your kid seems short of your expectations you can have an evaluation of the remaining growth potential. A single x-ray of the left hand & wrist is evaluated for the level of bone maturity/remaining growth potential. If the grown centers have fused ( become adult in appearance) your son is done growing.

See below: Get him checked by his pediatrician. There are many reasons why kids can loose weight; some minor and others significant and there is not enough space here to discuss the possibilities. Again, see his doctor.
