my daughter is 4 years. she has a fever of 39.2 and with 7.5ml calpol and 2.5ml nurofen, the fever hasn't dropped. she has a headache and says her throat is sore. is tired. should i be concerned and seek immediate care?

A visit to her Dr.: New throat pain with fever can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (Tamiflu sometimes used, if diagnosed early enough), or from some other causes. Usually, a person sees her pediatrician if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check to see if antibiotics or Tamiflu are needed).

i have dorsal calcanel enthesophyte both ankles. what can be done?

Dorsal: heel  spurs are usually located as a part of the major tendon (achilles) connection to the heel bone (calcaneus) and will eventually become symptomatic. A PODIATRIST's opinion early on is suggested!! (Foot specialist)
There are non surgical (orthotics) and surgical treatments available!

Accepted Answer

Sign of tendinitis: Entheseophytes (bony protuberences emanating from the insertion sites of tendon onto bone) about the inferior or superior poles of the patella can be a radiographic hallmark or sign of underlying tendinitis involving either the quadriceps tendon (superiorly) or the patellar tendon (inferiorly). Physical therapy focusing on a stretching program and then strengthening can help as 1st line treatment.

No: This is an X-ray finding. It is not unusual. This rarely leds to problems

prominent enthesophyte at the anteroinferior margin of the the patella. sharpening of tibial spine ?

Spurring is the --: --short way of putting it.@ Your age it's a sign of early degenerative process in the knee. May have been the same images if done a few years back. See an orthopedic surgeon for treatment, that includes NSAIDS if able 2 take them, as well as activity modification. Weight is a problem with all weight bearing joints.

my ankle xray 8mm lucency in medial talar dome consistent with osteochondral lesion. enthesophyte at posterior aspect of the calcaneus, means what?

See orthopedist : Those findings especially at the dome of the talus was once osteochondritis dessicans.  To try and avoid further aritic findings talk to your doctor.  That talar finding is an "old" injury.  So too is enthesophyte ( spur)

local back pain from lifting weights. x-rays pelvis/si joint. mild enstesophyte( not osteophyte) formation at illiac crests. is this common? follow up

Back x-ray: yes these are common but discuss with your Dr. as may vary by ethnicity and geographical location and work history. And prob not related to pains.

can't find anything on tarsal navicular subchondral fractures. are they that rare? are they serious? what are the options

If you are in pain : Or if the condition can potentially cause further issues it is serious. I answered in your first question a bone stimulator would be a good treatment. You would also obviously have the foot immobilized. I think you said you were in a walking boot. You may want. To consider crutches. If your a smoker you must stop, and have your vitamin d levels checked.

Confusing: Initially grouped by colony size and cell wall properties. Group a is pyogenic, others with different properties include group b through t (i think), some are normal skin flora, others cause various illnesses.

Accepted Answer

Probiotics: They are use to replenish beneficial intestinal flora. They are help to treat antibiotic induced diarrhea. They are made of lactobacillus or the "good bacteria".
