Bad mouth taste: May be early candida  or from  sinusitis.  Sometimes you can have sinusitis without  actually having pain in the sinus. May also be from gingivitis/peridontitis ( gum/tooth infection), diet or reflux( elevate head of bed when sleeping can try ranitidine  if not  allergic) reflux can exacerbate sinusitis. . f/u/ w/ doc for possible cultures, meds,  oral hygiene.

im going to have an enlarged taste bud removed by my dentist; how will my tongue will be numbed ?  will he put a needle in my tongue ?

Oral Surgeon: See the Oral Surgeon for evaluation and treatment. You may be pulling your tongue through your teeth in this area and may have formed this. Typically a simple surgical removal. If your front teeth have space or are worn/chipped, then they should be fixed to prevent recurrence. Good Luck.

MM mouth wash: Miracle Magic Mouth Rinse. The rinse is best for those with initial HZVS1 viral infection as a symptomatic relief. I am not sure that you have a viral infection but something else. Don't delay in seeking professional evaluation.  Some taste buds are actually confused with lymph nodes which are part of the immune system

Not serious: Prominent taste buds in the back of the tongue are not uncommon or unusual. If you had only one abnormal appearing tongue mass an examination by your physician or an otolaryngologist would be strongly advisable but this is not the case with you.

Wait about 3 to 7 days .If symptoms resolve , it was a vitamin deficiency.If they don't resolve the rinse with benedryl for 3 min 3 x's a day. If still no resolution go and seek a dentist highly trained in oral medicine.

Let it be: It is unlikely that there is any thing abnormal with your taste buds.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.
