Some: You can see polyps or fibroids that are inside the uterine cavity. You can also see an abnormally shaped uterus. But you cannot see endometriosis or cancer. You might see damaged tubes and endometriosis is a common cause for that.

what are signs of endometriosis after a hysterectomy?

Same as before: Common symtoms of endometriosis vary from person to person but include pain with sex, pain with bowel movements, pain with voiding, and pain with ovulation.  There would be other symptoms that would occur with the period - but not of course after the hysterectomy.  If the ovaries are removed with the hysterectomy (or later if needed), you have a much better chance of resolving the pain.

Endometriosis: Endometriosis sx's  may include:  Pain w or after sexual intercourse*Marked period pain w nausea &amp; loose stools or constipation*Lower back/ pelvic pain*Bleeding between periods* Fertility problems* etc. History,  Pelvic exam, Ultrasound &amp; laparoscopy are used for diagnosis.

Could be: But after evaluation by ob/gyn doctor, you can be evaluated by a vein specialist called a phlebologist who treats pelvic veins, vulvar varicosties, etc. These varicose veins inside can cause pelvic pain and pain during intercourse. They can be successfully treated as well.

Yes: You should have your doctor check you and figure out the cause of the problem so adequate treatment can be given. as this may sometimes be unrelated to any pathology(problem) in the pelvic region

Any fibroids?: You need a sonogram to check for fibroids, adnexal masses, ovarean tumor , blood count for anemia.

: The fluid often represents the remaining debris (blood) after an ovulatory follicle releases an egg &amp; breaks down. This can cause pain. Nothing in this wording suggests  endometriosis. Please discuss the findings with the doc who knows your history and exam findings.

See a Gynecologist : You should see your gynecologist for a complete health history & physical exam. While deep pain you are describing can be seen in endometriosis, other conditions can also cause it - including pelvic congestion, adhesions, adnexal pathology, scarring from pelvic inflammatory disease, as well as less frequent causes like retroverted uterus and urinary infections. You need a complete evaluation.

i experience debilitating pain during / after intercourse that even after taking pain meds lasts 30+ mins - intense pain, full body cold sweat so that i am soaked,shaking,hands&feet going numb after a while.are these signs of endometriosis? thanks

Maybe: Endometriosis can cause intense pain associated with intercourse. Other symptoms can occur in response to the pain. Get evaluated by your OBGYN.
