how can someone cure low blood pressure?

Increase fluids: Oftentimes low blood pressure is benign and can a sign of poor fluid intake.  Also, it can occur with anemia, thyroid disease and addison's disease.  If the symptoms are problematic, you should see your doctor to be evaluated for these possible conditions as well as hypoglycemia, which could mimic low blood pressure.

Maybe: First, if you are any medications that may lower your blood pressure, check with your doc about possibly reducing the dose, or changing medication.  If you are not on any medication, try increase your intake of non-caffeinated beverages, and your salt intake.

Possibly risky...: Beta blockers can be very helpful in the management of anxiety, however, you would need close/careful monitoring if your blood pressure and pulse are already on the low side.  It would be best to discuss with your doctor to see if this is a safe option for you.

ER: Vertigo not usually do slight drop in blood pressure. May need ENT evaluation.

No: Many normal people have low bps ( typical range: 80-100 systolic). If you aren't dizzy, don't faint (as you said), are not on BP lowering drugs, haven't been bitten by a poisonous snake or just been shot, low BP is considered to be a sign of especially good health!  healthy low BP is very commonly seen in children and young women.

will ranitidine lower my blood pressure? i have low blood pressure to start with so dont want to end up with it worse?

Very rarely: The incidence of ranitidine causing low blood pressure is extremely low, 0.01% to 0.1%, so it is pretty rare.  I would not be too concerned about taking it.  If by some chance it does lower your blood pressure you can just discontinue it and your blood pressure will return to baseline. In my experience, ranitidine is one of the best tolerated medications out there!

can you have a pulse of 96 and not have any blood pressure reading at all? i mean wouldn't you have at least a high or low blood pressure, certainly having a pulse. thanks if you will answer, much appreciated?

: As long as you're alive, you'll have some sort of blood pressure.

Hypotension : You have postural hypotension, in which your sudden standing up doesn't allow enough time for your heart to pump hard or fast enough to get blood to your head. This is what make you feel dizzy, blurry or even tunnel vision during these episodes. It's best to standup more slowly &amp; wait till you feel ok before moving. You should have your MD check your BP/heart &amp; blood counts to make sure you're ok
