Embryonic pole: There's not enough space to outline evry week here, but at 6 weeks an embryonic pole is around 5 mm, and gets to around 5-6 centimeters by 12 weeks.

For now: You have a living fetus. With luck, everything will carry through to term OK. That being said, there are no guarantees in medicine. Close follow up and repeat ultrasounds as you have mentioned will be essential. Hope this helps!

What's question?: You obviously have a very complicated situation here. You have a risky triplet pregnancy in which already at this very early stage, one of the fetuses is so much smaller than the other two.There are several options here for the pregnancy, as you are still very early in the pregnancy, but these options need to be discussed thoroughly with a high risk OB doctor known as a maternal/fetal medicine doc.

: I would not suggest one. With a fetal mass the size of a poppy seed it is likely nothing would be displayed in the study worth viewing.

Could have been: If u were my pt would do an ultrasound to make sure uterus is clean, if it is then u are done and if you are rh- then u need a shot of rhogam, if there is anything left in the uterus u need it removed which  your doc could prob do in the office.

i'm 5+1 weeks pregnant. on 18dpo, 4+2 i had hcg blood 1896 and ultrasound gestational sac 9mm, without yolk sac. i can't get another ultrasound till 12 weeks, i'm worried with the size of sack, by that size shouldn't there be yolk sack or even embryo?

: It is unlikely that a gestational sac would be shown at "5+1" weeks of pregnancy.  Also, the HCG value of "1896" would not be that elevated at only "4+weeks", well beyond the time a yolk sac would have been detected.  Another HCG test to measure the growth of the pregnancy will confirm normal progress .

Confusing question: Are you referring to having a vaginal delivery over c section? Very complicated question. There are many reasons. Contractions can be too weak, the female pelvis too small, the baby can be too big or in an abnormal position, the baby's heart rate can show signs of problems. There are many reasons why this can occur.

Possibly: An anembryonic pregnancy can only be diagnosed if there is no embryo and the gestational sac is greater than 25mm.  You will need another ultrasound to confirm in about 10 days.  Following the quantitative bHCG can also be helpful.

About double: At 14 weeks a fetus is about 3.5" from head to butt, and around 5.5" at 18 weeks, almost twice as long. We don't measure head to toe since they are rarely stretched out like that for more than a moment.
