Not directly: Troponin levels reflect injury the heart muscle. The test is usually performed to see if you have had a heart attack.  Thyroid disorders _can_ contribute to heart problems.  Heart disease or thyroid disorders _can_ contribute to infertility problems.    However, most of the time, heart disease isn't caused by thyroid problems, nor is most infertility is due to heart or thyroid problems.

having fullness in my neck and shortness of breath, had ecg and troponin check all normal as well as cxr . i am already on losartan 25 mg once a day.?

56 yr old female. went to er with chest pain,also in neck jaw and sweats. troponin was normal. 2 ecgs ( 2 and 6 hours after the episode) were normal but there was low qrs voltage in precordial leads. the 1st qrsd was100- the second was 84. meaning?

: If this patient had an EKG in the recent past with normal QRS voltage, echocardiogram should be done to check left ventricle function and rule out pericardial effusion. A simple thyroid function test, i.e. TSH level, should be added as well.

i had chest pains radiating to my neck and sharp pain in my back. i had an ecg and stress test 2d echo one and all were normal. my troponin level was 413 pg/ml. the dr here told me it was severe heartburn. does this sound likely?

Chest pains: The work up sounds reasonable and good. Glad it is all negative! Do you have any symptoms of heartburn or pain in the upper right side of abdomen after eating?
I would say heartburn is definitely a reasonable differential diagnosis based on the information you provided.

get sharp like shooting pain in back that goes to breasts and up neck. been to emergency twice with it. troponin, ekg chest xrays all good. blood work good. had back mri. the er doctor said back spasms. in thoracic area. any ideas what this is?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. These may be similar to cramps. Try increasing you intake of electrolytes, especially potassium. You can do that by consuming orange juice, bananas and adding by adding a bit more salt to your food. It that does not help consult a physiatrist.  Wish you good health

Thyroid disease: Hypo- or hyper-thyroidism can affect pregnancies and lower your chance of conceiving. When you do get pregnant, both can have an effect on the fetus during development and after delivery. Therefore, it's best to see your doctor to make sure your thyroid hormones are in the normal range before getting pregnant.  If you are pregnant, you should let your doctor know as well.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.  Wish you good health!

Absolutely: If you are clinically hypothyroid or clinically hyperthyroid, it can cause infertility.  Sometimes, with this thyroid disease you can get pregnant but it will increase the risk of miscarriage and in cases of hypothyroidism, it can adverse effects on the fetus.  If you have thyroid disease you should consult with your doctor before attempting pregnancy.  Hope this helps.

If not in control: As long as your thyroid function tests are normal on thyroid hormone replacement treatment, thyroid dysfunction is not likely to be the cause of fertility problems.
