RSD: RSD is now called chronic regional pain syndrome.  It is a clinical diagnosis but sometimes we use a bone scan that can help detect changes and then affected extremity.  I recommend to my patients the use of topical pain creams such as diclofenac and others.  I would also recommend evaluation by a rheumatologist.

65 male stinging torso skin pain after every luke warm shower. my body is relatively clean, don't scrub extra hard, after every luke warm sh my front torso, & arm skin from shoulder down to wrist s tings for 30mins, lotion doesn't help, dove soap use?

: If your shower removes skin oils, the skin can become dry,tight and quite uncomfortable. While your skin is somewhat moist after light towelling following the shower, try rubbing in a moisturizing cream to lock in skin oils. Always use a skin moisturizer while your skin is still damp or moist after washing.

Please see someone: It sounds uncomfortable. With so many symptoms you may  have a systemic condition, a functional condition like fibromyalgia, or a combination of both. Rheumatologists are experienced at helping you sort all this out.

Umm, hard to say.: There is nothing specific about the skin you describe that gives us a clue as to what exactly is going on medically. Does the rash go away--or is it persistent? Is the skin itchy?... Is it smooth or rough? Does it get worse or change colors after a hot shower?...As you can see, there are too many questions unanswered; however, taking a wild guess this may be post-injection neuralgia. Ask your md.

Koebner: Some skin diseases, psoriasis being a good example, follow trauma- hence the distribution to elbows, knees, hands, feet. This is called the koebner phenomenon.

Rheumatoid Arthritis: If these bumps are non-tender. they may be Rheumatoid nodules. Uric Acid deposits from Gout can give similar bumps. The nodules can be tested by a Dermatologist, to find out what they are.

Recurrent zoster...: ...Is very rare, but it does happen. Treatment (with valacyclovir or famciclovir) would be the same as the first time; but there are other possible causes, such as herpes simplex, a pulled muscle, a cracked rib, or even an internal issue. You should see your doctor and get this sorted out.
