: First you want to know why her feet are swelling. Different causes need different treatments. Most likey eating more salt than her kidneys can get rid of is playing some role.  Track her sodium intake for 2-3 days and see. She should be eating &lt;1,500 mg sodium per day.  Discuss with your team.

is it ok to take diamox (acetazolamide) and low dose aspirin? also, if i stop taking diamox (acetazolamide) how long before it 'leaves my system' so i can take aspirin or the like?

Acetazolamide &amp; ASA: Serious complications have been reported with concomitant use of Acetazolamide &amp; high dose aspirin. An alternative to Acetazolamide may be an option if aspirin is a necessity. Low dose aspirin may be used while under regular observation by a physician. Acetazolamide clears the body within 1 to 2 days and aspirin can be stated within a day as instructed by your doctor.

Ecosprin: Ecosprin is low-dose aspirin, commonly used to decrease the risk of cardiac disease or stroke. Being aspirin, it can cause side effects of increased bleeding or inflammation or ulceration of the digestive tract, particularly the stomach. It also can cause Reyes syndrome in children and teenagers. Because of the low dose, however, side effects tend to be limited. Good luck.

Same as aspirin: Ecosprin av is enteric coated Aspirin made in india.  Aspirin side effects are stomach ulcer, delayed clotting, allergic reaction, and reye syndrome associated with viral illnesses in children.  Enteric coating protects the stomach lining from irritation, however some studies suggest that with doses of less than 100 mg, it is better to take not coated.  Ecotrin (aspirin) is same thing, and many generic, too.

Don't stop: Ecosprin av 75 is a combination of 75 mg Aspirin and 10 mg atorvastatin.  Studies have shown that all diabetics, regardless of cholesterol level should be on cholesterol lowering meds such as Atorvastatin to decrease the risk of heart attacks and strokes.  The low dose Aspirin is also helpful in decreasing your risk.  You need to take it as prescribed.

Good idea: Aspirin doesn't interfere with the BP lowering effect of Coreg (carvedilol). If you have evidence of arteriosclerosis, low dose aspirin is indicated for secondary prevention. If you don't, aspirin is not indicated (for primary or prophylactic prevention) until age 50 in men, 65 in women.

Assuming this was a good fasting sample it means your eating and selection of grandparents (if they have not heart disease before 50 in men or 60 in women) was good.  Discuss need for meds with your Dr.  The high tris maybe due to non-fasting sample  have been good
