Why: This is a popular notion among alternative practitioners but it is based upon feelings but no scientific evidence.  It probably will do not harm but there is not basis for a positive effect except on the bank account of those who advocate this procedure.

Cleansing: Yes. Of course. Your body had three systems at least that keep you 'cleansed'.  These are your liver, your kidneys, and your lymph system.  Nature takes care of  this.

Now on a different note. If your diet is full of sugars and other unnatural chemicals then switching to a more natural and healthy diet may increase energy and stamina.

None: There no such agents, nor is there a need for one!
your body cleanses itself, and any substance advertised to do that is potentially dangerous. I had a healthy patient nearly die after a "colon cleansing".  See your doctor for any healthcare concerns, and don't take any supplements unless directed by a physician.

Just drink water: What ever you do do not buy a detox product.   Your liver and kidneys do an excellent job of clearing most toxins .  U just need to be well hydrated (drink water)  there are some toxins like heavy metals (lead) etc which may not come out and you should see your md if those are an issue.  Those detox products just make you poor-er.

Caution!: There is preliminary evidence to suggest that certain foods such as coriander, nori and olestra have detoxification properties, although the majority of these studies have only been performed in experimental models. Diet and supplements: Everyone has hundreds of toxins in them & millions have benefited from internal cleanses. Research shows that a careful cleanse reduces many chronic symptoms & improves liver function. A good cleanse involves eating a hypoallergenic diet rich in organic fruits & vegies, lots of water, fiber & supplements/herbs to support detox. Such a program is perfectly safe. Don't do it!: You will make yourself sick, you can end up in the intensive care unit, and your weight loss will be transient. Forget the idea that you need to be "detoxified"; start doing what nature truly intended, eat sensibly, focus on fruits and vegetables along with a good balance, and get with a group of people you like who exercise and will do it with you. You owe this to yourself.

It depends: Detox from what?   At your age the good news is that abstaining from the toxin is generally enough to let the body naturally and effectively detoxify.   If it is alcohol or other sedatives and substances sometimes medical help is required to help the system safely detox.

No need: Unlike exercise, which is important &amp; necessary, there is no need to detox &amp; cleanse, unless you're preparing for colonoscopy. In other words, there's no randomized controlled trial published in peer reviewed journal demonstrating any clinical outcome benefit to detox/cleanse. So keep exercising. And eat healthy.
