when you drink a liquid such as alcohol does any of the alcohol go into your vocal cord or larynx area? also what about the trachea and lungs?

Shouldn't: The alcohol would go into the larynx,trachea, bronchial tubes or lungs only if it was aspirated-went down the wrong way! This would cause vicious coughing in a normal person but can happen without coughing in an unconscious or very elderly weak or sedated person.

how likely is it that i messed up my larynx or trachea by putting fingers on both sides and feeling up and down? i also kind of pushed a little to one side because it was uncomfortable. now its a little sore and hoarse to talk. is it possible?

: It is unlikely that you caused any permanent damage. As long as you are breathing and speaking properly, I would not worry about it. You will find that it heals rather quickly. If you have any breathing difficulties, go to the emergency room right away. Good luck.

Viral: Very often this can be from an upper respiratory viral infection with swelling and irritation in the larynx. Old fashioned remedies like honey in tea along with Ibuprofen should get you through. Usually clears on 5-7 days.

Influenza: Sounds like you have an acute respiratory infection making your asthma worse. If you have an asthma treatment plan this is the point where you shift into the yellow zone using bronchodilators to relieve asthma symptoms & increasing the dose of controller medications. Get some fluids & Ibuprofen on board, call in sick, get plenty of rest, and if things are not stabilizing call or see your doctor.

i was using my water pik and had it at the highest pressure level when i accidentally pointed it towards myself and the water pressure hit my throat. should i be worried? i heard people can die from trauma to the larynx or trachea. i have no pain?

stupid question . is my larynx or trachea area suppose to move when i move my tongue? i was using my tongue to try to get popcorn out of tooth and my throat started hurting when i moved. can muscles be damaged that is preventing me from doing so ??

: Possibly.  Was the popcorn ultimately dislodged?  If the popcorn was dislodged, then throat area might have been irritated.  Allow for time to heal, and possibly try and eat softer foods.

Several possibilties: The nose produces about a quart of mucus a day which by ciliary action goes down the back of your throat.  The following possibilities need to be ruled out. 1.) nasal allergy, 2.) non-allergic rhinitis, 3. Rhino-sinusitis. 4.) nasal polyposis, 5.) adenoiditis. 
(inflammation-of the back of nose). 
    Thus, you need a diagnosis. See an ENT doctor. Bottom line, you need to identify the cause of pnd.
