Why: Was the ultrasound being performed if there is no pain and blood tests normal? Ultrasound findings can be of no clinical help if the findings have no bearing on what the person feels. These findings described can be non-specific and fairly normal if there is no symptoms. Ask your doctor who ordered the testing what these findings mean for you.

Fix the cause: Lack of energy can come from a variety of situations. Dehydration (not drinking at least 5 cups of water a day), lack of sleep/poor sleep, skipping meals, stress, sleep apnea/snoring, chronic sinus problems, caffeine withdrawal, chronic illness (such as anemia) or allergies can cause low energy.  Try fixing some or all of these situations.

Cirrhosis: My policy is to never remove hope from the situation, no matter how dire things seem to be.  There is effective treatment for hep c and there are mitigating therapies for end-stage liver disease, including transplantation (although do not know if there is an age limit for this). In any event, predicting death is not a doctor's purview, and advise you to make the most of whatever live gives you.

Ascite: Is retention of fluid on the abdominal cavity. The liver is not able to maintain the flow of blood toward the heart. The liver becomes cirrhotic (scars down). This could be due to alcohol, hepatitis b or c, cancers.

Depends on source: Ascites, the leaking of serum fluid into the peritoneal cavity can arise from different sources.  End stage liver cirrhosis with portal hypertension can cause extensive ascites.  A liver transplant may be the only source for relief.  Ovaian Cancer that spreads to the omentum releases a vascular permeability factor.  Here tumor debulking and chemo may produce the desired results.
