am 20 weeks pregnant, had my quad test negative, 1 in 130 for ds, but had echogenic bowels and eif in the heart in the us, what's my baby's risk to have ds?

Your OB doc: Should be have already discussed that with you and tell you or you really should be seeing a perinatologist who is a high risk specialist because 1 in 130 for downs is a highly elevated risk esp at your age of 31 besides the other findings, the perinatologist should be able to give u a good estimate and you will probably need one of the new blood tests like harmony or a genetic amnio.

Chest pain: and palpitations. See your doctor for exam and some tests such as chest x-ray, echo, ultrasound of heart, ekg, holter monitoring .

Anxiety maybe?: You may have a legitimate heart issue, so get it checked out. But if that is all fine, do you think you might be experiencing anxiety? Anxiety is very very common and nowadays there are some really good treatments for it, both counseling and medications. Don't freak out, solve the problem and see your doc.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.

But you typical may feel drowsy during the day, irritability, decreased concentration, increased heart rate and blood pressure, decreased coordination, increased reaction time, decreased cognitive performance...

Not necessarily: An echogenic focus  seen one a fetal sonogram is most often  associated with a normal fetus.   It is  usually  evidence of  the moderator band in the  heart.  It  is  found fairly  often. By itself,  this   finding   is  not  a problem.  In down's syndrome ,  there are a number of  findings on sono among these heart defects,  bone and facial abnormalities. Echogenic focus can also be seen.

i notice when i take levothyroxine, i dont really have a "need" to sleep. heart rate, body temp, energy and alertness normal still.  is this possible?

When to take med: It is best to take lvothyroxine first thing in the morning at least 30 minutes before eating.Also mak sure you have had a recent thyroid test to make sure the dose is correct.

on 25mg atenolol for elevated heart rate. i feel super spacey during the day, can't focus. feel like i'm in a dream. eyes feel weird. ?

Reduce the dose: The symptoms you are reporting could mean that your atenolol dose is higher than what you can tolerate. Discuss with your doctor to see if you can reduce it to 12.5mg. If your symptoms persist you may need a change of beta blocker to try something else

Yes, anxiety: This is a symptom of anxiety. You are not taking anything for generalized anxiety disorder. Neither Lamictal nor zoloft (sertraline) works well for gad. : It appears you have a big stress and anxiety problem. You should see a doctor in regard to these to get help. You obviously are in school to learn because you have chosen to do so, therefore getting help with your anxiety and stress could help you focus on school better.
