is it possible to have both bulimia and anorexia and what is the outcome? i go from barley eating at all then to eating then purging, its like a cycle

Yes: yes the two conditions can have overlap in the compensatory self injurious behavior following overeating, the distinguishing feature is the bulemics tend to be overweight as tend to overeat more but underweight with anorexia as they tend to restric calories more then overeat. treatment is similar for both with multidisciplinary approach involving psychologocal counseling and SSRI therapy.

: In all probability coincidental. Possibly virus or a bacterial infection (as in food poisoning). A Covid home test may be prudent. Take her temperature then call your child's Pediatrician. Then call the Orthodontist to report what has been  going on.

Eat your grains...: The grains are all fine.  Avoid foods are : uncooked meat, fish and poultry. Unpasteurized dairy, fruit and vegetable juices.  Raw sprouts.

Barley is easy to digest, high in selenium (good for elasticity of skin) manganese and b vitamins.  It can act as an appetite suppressant.  High fiber, low fat, soothing to the bowels.

Yes: Barley is a healthy grain. Malting is a process that increases the sugar in it so malted barley adds some sweetness to the crackers. Crackers tend to be converted primarily into sugar once you digest them anyways so the malted barley is almost like predigesting some of the grain. See
