A habit to break...: Raw rice won't harm your pregnancy unless it is contaminated with a germ that can harm your pregnancy.  When rice is cooked, all the germs are killed and its the best way to eat rice when you are pregnant.  You should work on breaking this habit prior to "trying" to get pregnant.  Get help from a therapist if you can't do it on your own.  Best wishes!

Eat Jackfruit!: Absolutely.  It is high in protein, potassium and vitamin B12.  also low in Carbs and taste like Juicy Fruit!  We don't see many of them in the Pacific Northwest though :(

Yes: If by baby Powder, you mean talcum powder, it is bad at any time and more so during pregnancy.

In moderation, no: Eating only hot cheetos, not so good. The occasional eating of this snack will not affect your pregnancy.

Interesting: There was a small study done in 2007 looking at that. The women who ate dates in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy showed a lower rate (but not statistically significant) of need of Pitocin (oxytocin) augmentation.

Eat away they are nutritious and might help but wont hurt your pregnancy or delivery.

Oh in the study these women ate 6 date fruits a day.

Weight gain: Corn starch isn't the best type of ingredient to consume as it's full of sugars which will only contribute to weight gain. I don't believe there's any concern of birth defects associated with the consumption of it but it's nothing to embrace as food for any reason.

ASK YOUR OB: That is the job of your OB to answer your questions about that after you have had an exam and your OB has done an assessment of you, but generally eat 3 normal meals or some people eat smaller meals and a snack in between your doc can go over your eating and refer u to a nitricianist if necessary.

Online menus: Look online before picking places to eat out and make sure they have something healthy on the menu.  Try to pick places with things on the menu with veggies and lean protein.  Fried food and complex carbs like pasta, potatoes, etc aren't great choices.  Lots of info online about healthy menu choices in your local area.

A diet guide: There are a number of excellent books on pregnancy and nutrition.  If you have food allergies a nutritionist may help.  A good balanced diet, plenty of protein, lots of vegetables, plenty of color variety.  Avoid fried foods, too much red meat and limit fish, especially large filets.  Sugar and sweets should be avoided or limited.  A pregnant metabolism is a slow metabolism.

Accepted Answer

No: That is not a classic pregnancy symptom. If you have missed a period and have been sexually active than take a pregnancy test. Take care.
