Interesting: There was a small study done in 2007 looking at that. The women who ate dates in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy showed a lower rate (but not statistically significant) of need of Pitocin (oxytocin) augmentation.
Eat away they are nutritious and might help but wont hurt your pregnancy or delivery.
Oh in the study these women ate 6 date fruits a day.
