It shouldn't : If you eat to live, and not live to eat, if you eat healthy, if you eat something five times per day and don't skip meals, you should be able to watch the food network all day long and you'll eat the right amount at the right time.

Lost appetite: It sounds like you have lost your appetite.  Depending on how long this has been going on -- and whether you're recovering from the flu or some other GI illness -- you need to see your physician about this.  Many issues can interfere with appetite.  Some have to do with depression and anxiety, and others have to do with more physical illnesses.  Best to check things out so you get needed help.
