Perforation: It definitely doesn't sound pretty.  You better go see your PCP and have your ear checked ASAP.

i had a tmj arthroscopy 3 weeks ago and my eardrum is sore. i also think my eardrum is swollen. is this normal?

Unlikely your ear: While only a doctor that evaluates you can be sure, i would bet your ear is just fine.  People with tmj, *especially* if they just had a procedure on the joint, are prone to a sensation of pain in the ear.  The muscles that insert into the jaw joint have some shared nerves with the ear and you get a referred pain.  Treating TMJ pain will likely treat your ear pain.  See an md if not sure, .

It depends...: Lymph nodes in the neck can be enlarged due to infection, inflammation or due to cancer. If your node is hard to touch and painless, that makes it suspicious for Cancer but only if their size is more than 1 or 2Cm. If youc an feel the L. node easily and it is bigger than the size of a Quarter, it is of concern and needing medical examination by your doctor. Only your physician can tell if a Biopsy

Call in: Call the ent's office and ask about any cancellations on the next business day. This could be a complicated ear or sinus infection if the pain around your eye persists. If you begin to lose vision or have double vision, present to an emergency setting for an urgent evaluation. Make sure to take any prescribed decongestants.

Otitis: Otitis media and/or externa. Have your doctor check for middle ear effusion or infection as well as canal infection. Avoid getting water in your ear in the meantime. Also keep track of any sinus/nose and throat symptoms which can radiate to the ear.

Flu or allergies: Flu or allergies.  You have a sore throat and some ear pain.  At this time of year the allergies are very common.  Continue to measure your temperature.  Fever is uncommon in allergies. Treat your sore throat with liquids and nsaids or tylenol (acetaminophen) if ok.  Sore throat common when running AC as it dries out air too.  Continue good hand hygiene always.

Depends: It is depend on the severity of the clogged eustachian tube.It may take at least 7 to 10 days or longer with med.It is the same for swollen eardrum, depends on the condition. You need to check with your doctor for this.
