: Excess ear wax can cause pain/ itching. Insertion of a finger or "Q-tip" can cause inflammation leading to abnormalities in nerve conduction which can cause tinnitus intermittently .  Get a referral to an ENT physician for an exam, imaging, and possible treatment.

Ear infection: It depends on how long you've been on the medications...It usually takes antibiotics 24-48 hours to start working.  If it's been longer, then you should go back to see your doctor.  Good luck and feel better!

Wouldn't help: There are no drops that help an infants ear infection. Acetaminophen can sometimes help with discomfort. A true infection would require confirmation by exam and possibly antibiotics if bacterial.

is it possible to cure ear drum hole with medication?

Accepted Answer

Ear drum hole: Yes it is possible.  Antibiotic drops or by mouth may cure infection and perforations.  Also, many perforations will heal without any treatment.  Sometimes a small hole will be treated with medication to inflame the edges.  This occasionally stimulates healing.

i had a tia on nov 3rd and 10 days after the attack i have a high pitched sound in the right side of my brain, (not ears) is it from medications?

Unusual descript.: A sound "in your brain" can only be one of three things:  1) a true external sound with acoustic interference 2) a miscue of the auditory center within the brain responsible for localization of sound or 3) misplacement of inner narrative (as occurs with schizophrenia).  You are likely suffering from #2.  Certain meds are known to cause tinnitus or "ringing."  please discuss with your doctors.

m having 40% perforated ear drum m on medications right now does my ear heal by its own in one month through medicines aur surgery needed?

Depends : That is a fairly large perforation. It may heal on its own within 4 to 6 weeks. However, it is quite possible that it will not fully heal. At that point, you need to consider surgical repair. It's not mandatory, if you don't plan on swimming or getting the ear wet. However, most people would opt to have it repaired.

just had 2 molers pulled on friday. the dentist gave me penicillin vk 500mg.. now i'm getting  a ear ache will this medication  help?

It may: It depends on the cause of your ear pain. If it is related to your teeth then likely. If is is a separate problem then another antibiotic may be a better choice. Be checked. All the best.

No: You should go to the ER. You may need IV antibiotics.
