Swelling: There is probably swelling in the throat from infection or allergies. See a doctor for exam.

strep test negative. 4 plus weeks of sore throat when swallowing on right side.  severe throat pain when sneezing. no congestion  or ear pain. ?

Nopostnasal drip?: This could cause 1 sided throat pain. If not, see an ENT  Dr. and get scoped in the nose to see the back of the throat. They should be able to diagnose your problems. If you do have postnasal drip,try flonase or rhinocort nasal spray and see if this helps.

i've throat pain in right side form 2 month, 1 doctor told its tmj, my ear also pains and some in the jaw also, bt no clicking sound from my jaw, no swallowing problem?

Ear &amp; throat pain: See your regular doctor for a throat and ear check. You may have reflux, causing irritation of the lining of your throat which may lead to ear pain (referred) when you swallow. You may also have the beginning of a throat infection or other process. If you are a smoker, speak to your doctor about strategies to stop smoking.

Check with your doc: This may be a streptococcus infection of your tonsils. Have it checked by your doc asap. You may or you may not need antimicrobials. Better be safe!

Absolutely: If you haven't already, get thee to a dentist ... And pronto. What you're describing could develop into deep tissue neck abscess, which can be dangerous. Don't want to alarm you, but i want you to seek attention very soon. Good luck.

Common: The same nerve that provides sensation to the throat also provides it to portions of the ear and throat infections can have referred pain to the ear.
