TMJ: It could be related too nighttime tooth clenching or grinding.  One primary symptom is an earache, or pain in front of the ear.  Caused by inflammation in the temporal mandibular (jaw) joint, it can be made worse by nighttime para function.

Headsets: Headsets and exposure to loud sounds may lead to hearing loss. Please have an Audiology and ENT appointment. Avoid water in ear canals.

Please see your: doctor and have your ears checked. There may be fluid behind your ear drum, which could explain why it's only hurting at night, when you're laying down. When you are upright, the fluid will be draining better. This may be from an infection or allergies.

So, if your Covid test is negative, you need to return to your doctor and get more tests done, including a test for malaria, especially if you are having fevers. Why home remedy?: Why a home remedy? If you don't know how to cure this pain, you most likely are unsure of the actual cause. Suggest you see an ENT to diagnose the cause and offer a cure. Better than leaving it alone or searching for a home remedy. Just get seen and get it fixed.

Sometimes: The nerves are all connectied in the head and neck  so yes you can feel a problem tooth as an ear ache.  Especially if the problem tooth is in the lower jaw.  Go to your dentist and find out if there is a problem tooth.

my dog suddlenly barked really loud and it gave me some little ear aches but they seem to not go away 10 minutes later... my hearing is not impaired.

Loud noise ear pain: Anytime we are exposed to sudden loud noise, we experience cochlear concussion , hearing threshold shift, and some temporary inner ear hair cell damage which the brain will interpret as ringing or pain. This should continue to improve over the next 2-3 days, if not better, need to see ENT for eval and audiogram.
