: By UPTODATE: the recommended prophylactic dose is 40 mg SC daily and I assume this dose is for an average female weight around 80 kg. So with your low body weight of 45 kg, I think 20 mg SC daily is probably fair.

Proton pump inhibitor medications are used to prevent or decrease the likelihood of G.I. bleeding stomach ulcers gastritis or GERD. Blood clots that occur usually in the legs are called deep venous thrombophlebitis. Compression STOCKINGS can help to decrease the likelihood of blood clots in the legs

i am on wafarin for 12 years. i do not want to live on this medication forever. what can i use or do to replace the wafarin. i deleveloped dvt twice.

Warfarin.: My assessment it that is better to take it than die with out it. Discuss with you and your Dr. There are some substitutes but may not be as good and certainly have not been around as long.

Wait:  Now that you have a Dvt, it would be safer to not wear compression hose on the side with the clot until approved by your doctor.

hi i was diagnosed with dvt condition and is in warafrin lifelong. i came across a herbal green tea capsules that i would like to take to lose weight, will this effect my blood levels or interfere with my medication warafrin?

Yes, it would: Green tea would affect warfarin levels, better avoid / use with caution and keep monitoring INR. Unfortunately anticoagulants can interfere with many medications / supplements, good that you asked, always exercise caution with multiple medication

: There is a point when doctors give up on the obvious. The elephant in the room is his obesity and obviously he should drop the weight. The effectiveness of telling a 79-year-old to change his ways and do that approaches zero. It has likely been discussed at some point.

DVT: If  you are anticoagulated there should be no limitation to flight.
