i've had dull aching pain in my left arm, armpit, and back for months. also get periods of tingling in that arm as well as my right leg. any ideas?

Demyelinating: It is hard to tell without proper history and physical examination. At your age a consideration is demyelinating (autoimmune) disorders. However, other rare conditions like syringomyelia or vitamin deficiency may need to be considered. Check with your physician for adequate diagnosis and treatment.

Once accurately assessed a treatment plan can be developed

Possible allergy: The description of left arm  shoulder blade and armpit , aching s-like sunburn aching suggests that it may be either allergic reaction  to prolonged exposure to sun ,poison ivy  or some infection is coming up  ..See your doctor ,get examined and treatment .In the meantime you apply hydrocortisone ointment to left arm

i think i had a heart attack this morning (chest pressure, upper back pain, dull pain in left arm, nausea) but feel fine now. should i still see a dr?

Well...: being that your only 30 it's unlikely but not impossible. If you are a smoker, overweight, have high cholesterol OR  high blood pressure and if heart disease runs in the family (first degree relative with a heart attack 55 or younger) go see a dr and get and ECG. You might still be having a heart attack and take a 325mg aspirin or 4x 81 mg just for good measure won't harm you either way.

Doubt heart: Cardiac pain would be very unlikely. Probably musculoskeletal-skeletal/spinal. Should check with your doctor.

Yes: Sometimes a disc herniation will present as a deep achy pain or sharp pain along the scapula or shoulder blade on the same side as the arm affected which can feel heavy without any neck symptoms.  This could also be a heart problem especially if it is affecting the left side.  Rarely, a tumor in the top part of the lung on that side can present like this-a pancoast tumor.  You should be evaluated.

Pinched nerve or ...: Based on your description of your symptoms, either a pinched nerve or a muscle spasm. Best to check with your doctor.
