Dukan diet: The dukan diet was  designed by dr. Pierre dukan, a french medical doctor and nutritionist who has been working with obesity for over 30 years. It alternates days of pure protein (chicken, fish etc.) with protein and vegetable days.  It is a low fat, low carb, low glycemic diet that works, and some people find it easier to comply with the dukan diet than with others.  It's healthy and safe.

Some tips...: I don't know the specifics of the dukan diet, but most constipation will be relieved by an increase in fluids and fiber. You can get fiber through vegetables and fruit, but also through products like metamucil and benefiber. Don't forget to exercise; that helps, too.  Lgromkomd.

Too much: Although no one, including me, can tell you with absolute certainty that two eggs a day will cause harm, it is generally considered a risk factor for heart disease and diabetes. If you want a healthy complete protein (all 9 amino acids) eat quinoa instead. It's gluten free.

Acidosis: Your body needs sugar to run- in an only protein diet, your body breaks down fat to make ketones for energy to run the heart brain and muscles. Too many ketones can result in ketoacidosis.  Ketoacidosis can become dangerous to your body chemistry.

Dukan: Like most of these diets this one has no scientific evidence that it works. Without scientific proof  of effectiveness it is vapor.

See below: A carbohydrate is a molecule made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen which are chained together. Another term is a saccharide, or more commonly, a sugar.  Complex molecule chains of saccharides are called complex carbohydrates or starches.
In common usage, a "carb" is used for a food which has a high content of carbohydrates.
A "low carb diet" would be a diet low in carbs and high in protein and fat.

Lots of good stuff: A low carbohydrate diet is comprised primarily of proteins and veggies.  Lots of vegetables, moderate amounts of lean meats and small servings of fruit daily.
