is it possible for you to get dry socket after 7 days or unlikely?

Not unusual: Usually a dry socket occurs after 3-4 days, but it can become most painful after 7 days. If you have a dry socket, you need to see the dentist who extracted the tooth to have this checked.

i had my wisdom teeth out a week ago today. when i was flushing the socket with the syringe they gave me a white tissue like thing came out. there was no bleeding. did i accidentally dislodge the blood clot? can i get dry socket after 7 days?

Not to worry...: if you're not having any real pain or a dull ache...no dry socket.
They may have put some packing in the hole that was left.   The usual thing is just food that collects in that hole and then you flushed it out.  No pain or bleeding..go about your buz and don't worry. But... if you are concerned go back to whomever removed them and see.   Peace of mind is valuable.

HMMM: Probably not however you may have food caught in the area that is healing so see your dentist and rinse rinse rinse with warm salty water after eating to remove any food debris as well as gently brushing the area.

no dry socket, but dr put medpack in anyway, told to leave it for 4 days. is it normal to start coming out? i have been avoiding area completely.

Normal: yes it is normal as the socket heals,it pushes the pack out of the socket.
Maintain good oral hygiene and follow your dentists post operative instructions ,take your meds. If any was prescribed to you ,and all should be fine.

Speak with dentist: Purulent exudate, if evident is a sign of infection. See the dentist or oral surgeon immediately for an evaluation. Was an antibiotic given and not followed through? The dentist that performed the extraction will be able to advise you.

It's possible: Dry sockets are essentially like losing the blood clot that is protecting the extraction site.  The socket itself is lined with nerves and if exposed, can hurt a lot!  if it was a big extraction and no closure was attained with sutures and you created a vacuum in your mouth through possibly smoking or even just spitting, you could have accidentally dislodged that blood clot.  Hope you feel better.

Dry socket: Probably no longer at risk if you are healing well and symptom free. Gently brush the adjacent teeth and you should be fine.

Generally: If it has been three days you are fine. Keep the area clean and see your dentist for a follow up check.

Dry Socket: Dry socket tends to come during the first week after surgery.  After 7 days if you have not had symptoms you are not likely to get a dry socket.  However, if you are having pain, please return to your dentist for a follow up evaluation.

Yes, it's possible,: The usual time frame is 3  to 5 days after removal.  If you smoke, that increases the likelihood of a dry socket. I fyou had an stitches placed that reduces the possibility as does an clotting aids used at the time of surgery.
