Pancreatitis: Since alcohol is the likely cause of pancreatitis it only makes sense to not drink it when you have pancreatitis. And for that matter in my opinion once you have pancreatitis you should never drink alcohol again as even a small drink can cause it again.

No...: Alcohol is a direct pancreatic toxin that in susceptible individuals will precipitate an attack of pancreatitis.  If you've had pancreatitis in the past, taking a drink of alcohol is not a good idea.  Good luck!

: Binge drinking can cause pancreatitis.
Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it. It will destroy your brain cells, damage testicular cells that make testosterone, facilitate development of cancer in many organs, cause hepatitis, cirrhosis and pancreatitis etc. There is no safe level of alcohol intake. Quit while you are ahead.
