More prone to pancre: While you may have had pancreatitis from other causes (gallstones come to mind), if you drink alcohol - especially to excess -then you can only cause further pancreatic problems. Best not to "tickle the tiger", knowing that the pancreas has caused you pain & discomfort before & that it is prone to it. Docs won't know if future panc is from aIcohol or other causes.
