i have an itchy red swollen area under the chin, on the jawline and on my neck. the doctor gave prednisone. won't this make it hard for me to heal? if this is yeast, couldprednisone be dangerous?

Redness: Prednisone can make yeast infection worse sometimes but not dangerous. He might be thinking allergic reaction. You could try the Prednisone and see whethere the redness  is getting better. Follow up with  your doctor.

As with all rashes..: ....It needs to be seen to be properly diagnosed.  Your description could be lots of things.  Possibilities include scabies, eczema,  contact dermatitis, a virus, an allergic reaction, and so on.  Each one of these requires a different treatment. See your doctor.

Many possibilities: Your question is too vague to answer in detail. An itchy rash can be due to many things most likely allergic but could be from any number of medical conditions. If it is persisting and not responsive to steroids, further evaluations need to be performed. Seek out your internist and dermatologist.

Itchy back: Isolated itching of upper back without a rash may be a sensory neuropathy since there is no disseminated or total body itching. Scratching may release chemicals that aggravate the itch. I assume that your son has been evaluated by a dermatologist who has ordered various blood tests to check for other causes. In the meantime the prescribed medications should help.

Sure.: Read the package information to be sure it is safe for you to take.  Prednisone takes 48-72 hours to work.  An antihistamine may help the pain.  Fragrances, aerosols, harsh soaps, and smoke also irritate the skin, so get rid of those in your environment until your dermatitis has resolved.  No scented detergents, soaps, lotions, deodorants, etc.  No fabric softeners at all.  Avoid candles, etc.

This depends a bit on how old the dermatitis is. The earlier it is treated the sooner it reduces inflammation and then itching. But most reduces inflammation. 2 hours ago? Don't expect miracles. I also give low potentcy  steroid cream on face.

i have itchy blisters on forearms from flea bites. highly sensitive to fleas. bitten aug 3rd. how to treat this & how long will this last? prednisone?

Insect bites: I would recommend that you apply ice directly to the bites and leave the ice in place for up to 30 minutes. Bites often are itchy for up to seven days. Prednisone is probably not a good idea.
