If you have a history of clotting disorder, migraine headaches or hypertension, you should not take combined hormones. Also if you are a smoker over the age of 35 you should not take the pill.

Motion sickness/vert: Meclizine, aka bonine, antivert, (meclizine) menid, dramamine: belongs to a class of meds called antiemtic--used to treat motion sickness ad vertigo. It also has ancholinergic effects, thus can help with itching (mild effect) as well. Meclizine is available otc, because it has relatively low/mild side effects and thus safer for use. Diarrhea and BCPs: Common sense suggests that BCPs absorbed at the level of the stomach, would not be affected by diarrhea,   What is not known is whether the large intestine plays a role in hormonal absorption, in which case diarrhea unaccompanied by vomiting might limit the effectiveness of the pill, but this is purely conjectural.

Yes: The old "adage" that you need to wait 3 months after stopping the pill before things are normal again is simply not true.  In fact the best ovulation a woman will see is the first one after being off the pill, that will happen at the normal interval of 14 days after the cycle starts if you are a woman with a normal cycle interval and normal ovulation. Major+minor issues : Minor issues are headache, nausea, bloating, water weight gain, breakthrough bleeding, and decreased libido.
Major issues are heart attack, blood clots and stroke which increase with age and there is an unacceptable higher risk with smokers over 35 which should not be taking the pill.
