Below: You start them either on the first day of your period or the Sunday after your period starts. You have 21 pills of one color and 7 of another color. Those 7 pills are sugar pills you will have your period when you are taking them. You start the active pills, these are the ones that have 21 in the pack. Be sure you use a condom for the first 7 days you are taking the pill
