i started smoking at an age of 17 nd i gave up smoking  two months ago at an age of 18 so i have smoked 2 cigaretes per day for 1yr.i have minor chest pain on left side that comes and goes so is it serious nd is there risk for me to get lungs cancer?

Time to see a doctor: Chest pressure or pain, with or without trouble breathing, are signs that he should talk with his doctor right away or go to the ER.  In adults, chest pain can be a heart attack. If it turns out not to be myocarditis, heart attack symptoms, or anxiety attack symptoms, the ER will also have checked for problems such as a collapsed lung, pneumonia, or heartburn.

i quit smoking 2 wks ago i smoked less than a pack/day for 3yrs,before i quit i began to feel a slight chest pain that occurs 4/5 times a day mostly in the left side of my chest and it disappears in 1or2 mins no cough no tightness and it didn't stop.

Maybe but: I would consider other things 1st.& honestly if you are having such severe chest pain, which could be many things that are not serious..First go this am to your dr. To be checked just to be sure.When you call the office tell the secretary exactly what you said above & that you need  appointment today.If they say they have "none" today insist on speaking to office manager..If you have no dr go to er.

Pain: stabbing pain is Unlikely to be cardiac. Pot could possibly be related but not common

Quit now: It's easier to quit when  you're young.  Believe me, this is the best favor you can do for yourself.  Chest pains are a sign of irritation by cigarette smoke. You might even have asthma  triggered by the smoke inhalation. Seek a Family physician who will help you quit. Good luck.

ChstPain/smokingquit: More info is needed. How long after quitting smoking? How severe and how long is the pain? Is there heaviness in the chest?  Is there shortness of breath?  Are you more anxious?  There are more questions needing answers. You need to check with your doctor as to possible other cases.
