Inaccurate: Progesterone really canot be 'below zero, ' you would be dead, since you could not make cortisol. So i'm glad it is higher!

i am 34. for 2 years my periods are shorter, worse pms, worse ovulation symptoms, and a bad uterine fibroid. could it be low progesterone balance?

Probably not: It is common for the nature of the menstrual cycle to change with time.  That is the likely explanation for the changes you have noticed.  The progesterone is only produced for about 12 to 14 days each cycle and is partly responsible for the PMS symptoms but that is related to the increasing progesterone level - not a decreased level.  Most women have fewer symptoms while taking the Pill.

since i turned 44 i have sleep anxiety that wakes me up multiple times. i feel worse on an estrogen birth control pill, better on a progesterone only pill. but because i have a large fibroid, i have heavy bleeding on the progesterone only pill.

No.: In general, low dose birth control pills like Levora (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) do not cause fibroids to grow, and are often very helpful in managing heavy periods that are sometimes associated with fibroids.

Levora (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) contains 0.15 mg Levonorgestrel (a progestin) and 0.03 mg ethinyl Estradiol (an estrogen).
