Unusual: There usually are not true polyps in the lung but rather nodules which are round soft tissue masses that can be both benign and malignant. The size, character, and growth of nodules help doctors determine which ones need to be biopsies or removed.

Need more info: "polyps" is an unusual diagnosis for lungs. Cancers in the lungs generally start as single masses. Multiple lung nodules are usually healed granulomatous disease -- TB or histoplasmosis; where i live, a majority of people have some nodules due to the latter. If your brother has fatigue most of the time, he needs to look for some other explanation.

Aspirin?: You may have a condition known as aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease which can be difficult to treatment. You don't need to take any ASA or NSAID tp get it but taking these drugs often trigger a severe attack. Consult an allergist to find out since Aspirin desensitization often provides great relief for your condition.

Need to know more: About the findings on a ct.  I am not familiar with the term "lung polyps".

Pulmonary nodules are quite common, and depending on appearance, density and stability (if an older scan is available), can be accurately classified as benign.

Unfortunately, although most are benign, for many patients, we cannot tell for sure on 1 scan, so further workup is necessary.

Cystic fibrosis: Nasal polyps or sinus surgery can lead to anoia. This may not return. You should be checked for cystic fibrosis sarcoidosis or wegeners.

SEE ent: The t;erm use the O2 better does not apply here You will get adequate O2 if you breathe through your mouth. The oxygen problem comes at night if you are obstructed. See your ent doctor and work with the pulmonologist to get the best results and do the surgery safely.

Some colon polyps...: ...Can develop into colon cancer and if a patient has multiple polyps, they could carry an inherited trait (fap, attenuated fap, myh, and others) which can increase the risk for other cancers. To my knowledge, though, lung cancer is not one of those.  Smoking is your main risk factor. If you do, pleeease quit.

Hmmm: Make sure you have a pulmonologist to make sure your lungs really are okay.  The xray can lag behind symptoms and the sinusitis could be marching downward.  See your ENT afterwards to see if you would benefit from a sinus procedure.
